Volume 3 were commissioned alongside Icewit Design to prepare proposals for internal re-organisation of the palazzo style house, to create the elan envisaged by the two principal original architects Philip Hardwick and Leonard Stokes, the restoration, and extensions of a Grade 2 Listed house in one of the mose desirable conservation area sites in London.
The brief called for an indoor games court suitable for tennis, a swimming pool, spa and leisure area, and display of a significant collection of vehicles. The resulting basement extension was significant at 23m below ground floor beneath the rear garden. The garden is to be restored with none of the new subterranean extensions visible from the outside. The project cost was estimated to be £40million.
